Tablet devices like the iPads have been very popular in the past couple of years and their popularity will keep on growing for a while longer at least. Based on this, it isn't surprising that new uses are discovered for those devices on a regular basis. One that we have been predicting for a while is using tablets as menus in restaurants. This allows a dynamic and always updated menu (no more white sticker to cover an item that has been removed from the menu) and gives access to feedback and reviews of products (very useful for a wine list) by other customers. On March 25th, LinkedIN reached 100 millions users. The co-founder, Reid Hoffman, sent a letter indicating we were part of the first million users, who were considered the early adopters. This small letter is a nice touch from LinkedIN that we wanted to share it with you. Employees and leaders around the world, can obtain lots of benefits using this professional social media site. We use it all the time now, in our day to day life to connect with friends, colleagues, suppliers and customers. It is a very powerful tool for knowledge workers.

The TIME magazine is running a poll in which you can vote for the best inventions of 2009. Out of the 50 inventions listed, some are quite interesting (while some definitely don't deserve to be on that list). One that caught our attention is titled "school of one" which seems as an attempt to revolutionize the school system to better teach students. Is it hard to realize for many, but the students on school benches in high school are the first of the Cyber Generation to be there. Some changes that might not have been as welcome by the Generation Y kids have a potential here of being widely accepted by this new generation.
Go check out the 50 best inventions, and vote for your favorite!
